re: How bad do they expect it at the White House tonight?

Well they have done that daily so it’s not a reach to believe that they will shut down some major form of traffic and/or prevent the free movement of citizens and especially the President.
Do you agree that everyone who steps on an interstate should be arrested? Because you state that you only agree with peaceful protests. They are disturbing the peace don’t have a permit and causing a danger to themselves and others.
Even the ACLU agrees that you have to have a permit in that situation.

There have also been daily peaceful protests, so it’s not a reach to believe they will abide by the law, either. If they go beyond the scope of their rights, the police can and should intervene.
It’s also been a few years since I’ve been to DC, but I don’t recall the White House being adjacent to the interstate.
I don’t agree with riots, looting, or anything beyond legal and peaceful protesting. But I also don’t agree with anyone who assumes that any sort of gathering that goes against their beliefs constitutes any of the above, either.

Don’t be intentionally obtuse I’m using two Separate obvious examples Of the “peaceful” protests being anything but even if they don’t set fire to a building.
The truck driver on an interstate who managed to not hit a single person was almost thrown over the side of a bridge Is the evil one in the media. Never mind the fact that truckers who have stopped in the past (Reginald Denny) have been killed.
The way Kip handled the situation should be a model (don’t give them an inch past the curb) instead the major metros take the opposite approach.

Have you not been conscious for the last few days?
Is this not exactly what just happened to Brees you hypocrite?

While it is true that he got fricked up pretty good, Reginald Denny survived the attack and moved to Arizona where he became a boat motor mechanic.
I think he's still alive, but I'm not sure of that. I am sure he wasn't killed by rioters, though.

It is.
But they feel they have the moral superiority, thus your opinion doesn’t count/matter.

When did I agree with what happened to Drew Brees and how does that make me a hypocrite? Both sides are guilty of being wrong about a lot of things. Funny enough, I haven't taken a stance on either end, but if I dare disagree with the echo chamber on this board I hate America and now Drew Brees too, apparently.

You love using the word "obtuse" when someone points out a flaw in your argument.
This thread is about a protest at the White House, and you brought up protests on the interstate. I'm just trying to keep us on topic. Which, ironically, it quite acute.

I can’t imagine being this stupid.
You are desperate to confirm that President Trump and his supporters are actually fascists

I don’t think I’ve ever posted in response to you and can’t remember the last time I’ve typed it out

You posted that you support all peaceful protests. I asked if you believed two readily available examples of what is purported to be “peaceful protests” were lawful and reasonable. You said you did which is a position so radical that even the ACLU disagrees with.
Just easy to know that you are someone who will never be “middle of the road” in any of these threads when you are so far left the ACLU is conservative

Where’s the best place to watch this shite go down. Hopefully this makes up for no SEC baseball tourney and CWS!

I only read the last couple of pages. Am I to understand that some do not think it would be justified to use lethal force on anyone trying to enter the whitehouse uninvited?
Apparently there are some clowns here who think that breaching White House security and burning down the White House are "peaceful acts of protest" and should be met with open arms and a cookie.
If someone breaches the White House security then SS has every right to stop them, by my means necessary. If POTUS is in the White House that includes putting a bullet in their head.
This is nothing new. Has been standard practice since at least Reagan.
Posted on 6/6/20 at 6:00 pm to Jinglebob
Exactly. I am generally not in support of Trump using troops against Americans, as he talked about the other day. But, if you breach the White House perimeter, all bets are off.
