I had a return flight cancelled last minute because it wasn't filled enough. They only flew out the location two days a week and I couldn't wait around 2-3 days. I had to book an expensive flight back on United.

Every spirit flight I’ve had has been fine. They are no different then southwest, American, delta, etc…..

I’ve had good experiences with Spirit. Only flew 3-4 times but they were on point.

It funny the people who claim “x airline” is a bus with wings and not they realize they paid extra for the same plane with AA.

Spirit has one of the newest, if not newest fleet in the industry.

This was my only experience with them. My girlfriend had used them twice and had no problems going from Phoenix to salt lake city and back, so she booked tickets for us to go there. Day of the flight it was canceled and we got no email or anything to let us know. I found out a few hours before flight time when I was checking online to see if the connection was on time. We were going for a wedding so had to last second drive up and get there at three in the morning.
Needless to say that was the last and only time with Spirit for me.

If price is your main consideration and you're totally flexible on the return, book with spirit. you need to be ok with a 50% chance your return is a different day or a completely different airline after they cancel.

The other clientele on Spirit flights are the biggest problem in my limited experience. It was a noticeable drop in quality of human being due to the lower financial threshold to get a ticket. Being trapped in a confined space with shitty people is not worth it to me personally.

Imagine going to the worst Walmart you could think of. Now think of those same people packed in a plane with you for an hour. I’m talking screaming kids, BO, arguing etc. That’s Spirit

Never flown it but it is a noticeably trashy crowd when you walk past spirit gates
