Yep. We should just ban cycling on roads meant for vehicles and they'd stop getting run over.

You must be quite the DIY handyman.
HOA covers my landscaping and lawn maintenance.
I can hire handymen to come out and fix shite for cheaper than my hourly rate to work, so why not hire out that shite and keep working?
I do what I can around the house but frick painting or re-roofing the house myself. hah.
I can rent a truck for $20 or whatever for the day if needed.

So when you could be cutting your grass on a Saturday you are working and earning income instead? It's only lost income if you are missing work (without pay) to do it.

He'd rather hire it out so guys in big trucks pulling big trailers are out on the roads driving to his house once or twice a week to mow his grass... As opposed to him using a truck and trailer ONE time to get his own mower to his house where he can do it himself.
As Alanis Morissette once said, "isn't it ironic?"

Me either, I usually assume it's small, not big

You're too generous
ETA: I don't know what this has to do with people overcompensating by driving big trucks though.

Home depot will let you rent one for $20 if you have it back in 75 minutes. Otherwise, $129 for the day. Pay for fuel. Unlimited miles.
UHaul is $20 + $0.89/mile + fuel.

I don’t have one but I know people with a negative net worth who have vehicles like this and end up declaring bankruptcy.

Pretty sure he lives in a condo, and they take care of the grass. That is the only way a HOA will take care of landscaping.

I have a small arse patch of grass that would take 30 minutes tops to cut.
I was mostly speaking about house maintenance shite and hiring contractors.
I do work on Saturdays a decent chunk of the year tho.

Townhouse.
What else do you want to be wrong about, truck baws?

Doc, just yank out a couple of extra gall bladders a month.
That should cover the note

A truck is a hell of a lot more comfortable for a full sized man than a sedan, and they have more utility

Of course. More money for me to retire.

I don't know, maybe they can, I doubt a certain percentage of them can't or they are living pay check to pay check to pay for it, but they cost that much because people are willing to pay that much.
Our economy is one big scam. All you have to do is get the right people to buy and then everyone else will fall in line.
Someone has made millions on a toy called the magic 8 ball... So if you have a product that actually adds some value to people's lives and other people have it, you can get them to spend every last cent they have after the house note, utilities, loans and groceries to pay for it.

I have no problem cutting my own frickin grass, baw. However, it is covered by my HOA through my dues.
