This is the kind of work most good true meteorologists are doing. The guys doing that kind of work make good money and are good at what they do. The same is mostly true of Noah, NWS, etc.
Your average small town worryman doesnt know shite and is just doing a spin job on what NWS is putting out with a local accent.
NWS forecast for the big picture and radar for live updates. Form your own opinions. It isnt difficult to do.
One only needs to look at the insane accuracy of hurricane and even tornado forecasting to tell that the guys at the federal level are really good.
