what are the realistic odds of me being able to make it from Lake Charles to Houston tomorrow? i have tickets for Astros games Friday and Saturday and a $1,000 AirBNB thats already paid for. the airbnb host said the place is still good to go
Very high. You'll just have to go around to the north.

Allen Parkway is definitely flooded and undrivable now.

I had two crews headed to Mississippi from San Antonio this morning, one made it to Lufkin and went east and made into LA around noon, the second was about hour behind him and is flooded out and stranded on 59 just south of Splendora, he said there are dozens of vehicles stranded along with them and 59 is closed just north of where he is at. Wreckers are saying they can't get to them, might be a long night.

Cypress is good, at least where I'm at. Headed to Magnolia shortly, just on the other side of Spring Creek. Haven't heard of any issues over there either.

Man look at all those dummies driving through water up to the hood in a single file line on 69 near New Caney.

Is the Harris County flood guy working this one? He is what i remember most from watching TV while stranded in Houston during Harvey.

The weather channel has a guy in the ghetto in Beaumont. The camera panned and he said "you see some boys out checking things out because school was out." Chances are they'd be there whether school was in or not.

I’m in Katy and was supposed to head home to Lafayette today. Ain’t happening.
Hopefully tomorrow I’ll be able to get home.

Seems like a good place to post the GOAT Flood Warning System:
Harris County FWS
Harris County's FWS is incredible. Truly.

$1,000 AirBNB
What makes an airBnB in Houston $1000 for a weekend?

I just almost got washed out in this little ghetto neighborhood near Humble. In a truck but got to an intersection where there were multiple sedans stalled and dozens of vehicles parked on the high ground at this gas station. Got tf outta there. Currently stuck at a Waffle House.
