It’s shame it’s not going faster. That should be prime real estate in that location. I’d love to live on one of the presidents streets if it wasn’t a crime infested shithole.

You and a frickton of people who work downtown.

Ive seen the value of my home go up 15k in the last 3 years.

We owned a 1350 sqft house in mid city BR since early 09'. We considered selling last year and didn't end up listing. This year, we listed the house for $19k more than we were planning to in 2017 (based solely on the comps). It sold in under a day.

The market in BR is nuts.

Just saw a nice 3 br, 3 bath 1980’s ranch style sell in my neighborhood for $501k. They then tore the house down. They paid $501k to get the lot so they can build on it. Think about that for a minute. Half a million for a less than half acre lot. That’s real money.

Paul Mainarie just did this in St. Gabriel

Nope. Guy on the last page states definitively the BR market is in free fall. Never mind the sales prices and other data.

Didn't say it was in freefall

Prices seem to have plateaued. Houses stay on the market longer and fall in price more than earlier this year. Since I own properties in the area I'd be happy to be wrong.

I’m hoping St. George passes and increases the property value in that area and brings the rest of the prices back to reality.

I lived in Beauregard for a few years. Loved it. Didn't really ever have to fight traffic unless I was leaving br for work.

$15k isn't very much over 3 years unless it was only worth like $75k to begin.

Just looked up the Katy area on Zillow and it checks out. I have an uncle that lives in Old Katy. I just didn't realize how much more you get for your dollar house wise and with better schools lol.
