You must not have much experience with women

Aren’t vasectomies reversible? One could argue there is a male birth control. Then you reverse it when you’re ready to try and have children.

You’re focusing on the right issue, but not the right solution. frick birth control, teach parents to keep the family unit intact and teach their kids some personal fricking responsibility. Discourage deadbeat dads and shame poor parenting in the media as much as we shame fake racism. Focus on family and focus on education.

I mean, while not always 100% effective, "pulling out" and condoms should work. The focus should be on self-discipline.

The Right Wing certainly focuses on that.

For the Left, they don’t like traditional values, marriage, stable families, and all that comes with it. So it’s a non starter.

Men don't need birth control they need to be held as responsible for the unwanted kids they make as women are. This will never happen in a patriarchal society but if men were forced to pay for their kids and do so without fail and at a level that actually foots the bill, and were forced into labor if they did not, the world would be a better place. Instead we simply call the woman a slut and move on.

The focus should be on not getting pregnant if you don't want to be. It's not difficult. Just lazy.

Why as a culture are we promoting sex so much?

it aint a cultural thing, it is a biological thing, as necessary to the survival of the species as breathing. Folks only have one purpose on earth and that is to make more folks. Culturally we deny this...and that is impossible because that denial has only been around a couple of thousand years in the west while one version or another of folks been fricking for millions of years....

While I endorse doing whatever we can to force men to pay, the idea that society calls single moms "sluts" and moves on is laughable.

They're put on a pedestal and anyone who attempts to put a label of irresponsibility on unmarried women with kids is labeled a monster. Name a major media entity or entertainment outlet that would dare utter "single moms bear a good bit of responsibility for their plight."

Vasectomies can be reversed but it is an "Out of Pocket" expense.

My wife likes to watch teen mom...one of the trashier ones (which is saying something) was going on about how bad things are and why oh why does she have two baby daddies that can't help her with shite.

Her sister: Because you met one in high school and one in the club.

Crickets.

Focus needs to be on not stupid choices

The reason no major media outlet would say such a thing is because mothers only bear 50% of the blame but almost all of the responsibilities. Women get pregnant because they had sex with a dude. Both are equally responsible for doing what biology tells them to do, as necessary as breathing, folks been doing far longer than we have been getting married and working for wages. Far longer....by millions of years. When society insists that men are equally responsible for bringing a child into the world as women are and insists that they own that responsibility in the same way we insist women do...women can and do go to jail for abandoning children and neglecting them....many men would think about wrapping that rascal instead of going to jail for 21 years....

Discourage? Throw their asses in prison for child neglect with an open end sentence depending on their ability and willingness to pay the total cost of raising their kid without any assistance from anyone else. If they can earn that amount of money in a day that's great....put it in a trust fund and get on with life. If it takes them their entire life and they wind up dying without paying the cost of the kid and their own upkeep in prison the tax payers will have to pick up the difference. As long as we only ask men to do this but insist women do it men will never take equal responsibility.

Between free birth control, free condoms & 40.00 Plan B there is no excuse for an unplanned pregnancy (outside of rape / molestation cases)

Barf. I'd make 10 kids if I could and I'd figure out a way to pay for them all.

Society does insist that.

Your argument is with nature and practicality, not social or governmental enforcement mechanisms.
