Into their own self as they do focusing on external things out of their control, we'd have a stronger and more productive country.

I think it just goes to show you during this stay at home pandemic, most people are a lost cause. Watching the news 24/7, vague protests, orange man bad social media posts, government this government that, basically dicking around jobless.

What have you done to be productive? I was laid off, but I changed careers, went back to school online, and taking my exam courses this week. I'll be licensed and ready to hit the ground running once this shelter in place is 100% over. For the first time, I've invested in the stock market and am being pretty successful for a newbie. I've started new side projects landscaping my backyard and have taken up mountain biking again. I haven't even had a chance to go on social media but it seems like everyone else is focused on finding distractions in their life rather than productivity.

Very little personal responsibility in our society and the current events are really exposing that.

You made an account just to post that Trumptard? Ahmed Arbery and George Floyd weren't even given a chance to live to do some of the things you mention. You are a moron for equating your life to theirs. Let me see you pick stocks on your Robinhood app with a cop kneeling down on your throat. Let's see how many orders you can place before you pass out.

This is really just 2016 magnified. It’s more virtuous to suck yourself off and share a heartwarming post on Facebook than it is to get your hands dirty, better yourself, or facilitate real change in something you believe in.

Can’t wait for this year to be over and people focus on the next new chicken sandwich or Netflix series and forget all about this.

once people were bringing home $2400 a month unemployment pluS a couple grand for stimulus checks too... To people who’ve never brought near that much home before..

That was pretty much it... no reason to want to go back to work if I can make bank chilling on Facebook all day

You are kind of making his point with this post. His stance is separate and apart from the murders of Arbery and Floyd.

I’m not sure I agree with catalyst (the lockdown), but America has an issue with its emotional judgment and stability.

I personally blame social media

You made the murder of those men political and that’s exactly why he will win again In November.

And George Floyd once held a gun against a pregnant woman’s stomach while his boys robbed her house. You clowns always pick the most upstanding citizens as martyrs. How about David Dorn? Why aren’t you outraged about his senseless death?

done to be productive
Most of these people don’t have a reason to be productive, because the government pays all their bills and then some. They have minimal education at best and a lot don’t have jobs so they certainly don’t have careers. If they had careers or were focused on taking care of their families, they wouldn’t have time or an interest in these waste of time activities.

Candace Owens said that today. They are the only population that does this.

They could have been doing something more productive with their lives. An honest days work is better than stealing and drugging.

I saw that video. I never realized that until now. I think the black community wraps their arms around the bottom 20% rather than the top 20% because giving credence and attention to the top 20% loosens their theory that the government needs to intervene and spend money to help their community. Also, the top 20% view themselves as their own self and they got their through their own hard work, nobody helped them out. Many black people in America are doing truly great things right now and you'd be hard pressed to ever find it elevated to mainstream.

Floyd had every chance to make a decent life for himself. Instead, he led a life of crime and drugs. Also fathered three kids out of wedlock. Doesn't justify him being killed, but it goes to the OP's point.

A retired BRPD Captain that is a friend of mine compared black people to crawfish pulling each other back into the ice chest. BTW she's black and proud.
