Crystal is my favorite flavor. Not very hot though. Love it on red or white beans. Louisiana is my favorite “hot” sauce. If something needs a little heat, I go here. Rarely do I use tabasco to top food with. Too vinegary. With that said, it’s perfect for a bloody mary. They all serve a purpose.
Couldn't have said it better myself!

The OG Louisiana hot sauce was on the table at a diner I went to a few months ago. I made a remark to my friend that I wish they had something hotter to put on my eggs.
Ol' baw, who turned out to be the owner, at the table next to us said, "try this out, then". He handed me a bottle of sauce.
Being an impulsive and curious man, I immediately put it on a cracker and went to town. Boy, did I frick up.
As soon as he saw me eat it, he told the cashier to grab me two glasses of milk. It was then that I knew I had made a grievous error.
Ten seconds in, my lips, throat, and entire interior of mouth became inflamed with the heat of a thousand suns. It honestly got me a little high. After a while, the heat was so much that it stopped giving off any sensation other than a dull pain, like a two-day old sun poisoning burn. My lips tingled for at least two hours.
When I gathered enough of my senses to look at the bottle, I began to read the description. This old fricker watched me douse a cracker with a sauce that had FOUR GODDAMN MILLION SCOVILLE UNITS.

If we’re being completely honest here I’m going with Cajun Chef

Crystal or Louisiana on anything other than oysters. Tabasco for raw oysters.

Tabasco Chipotle is their best sauce. Crystal is next.

Either Louisiana or Crystal.
Louisiana style is superior to Mexican style, both in flavor and simplicity. A lot of Mexican sauces are loaded with preservatives like sodium benzoate, etc.

You would be correct

The gourmet Panola is probably what he’s talking about. It isn’t $.99

I'm partial to Louisiana, myself. Crystal is solid, though.
Tabasco has its place, I really like it on Pizza, but it's flavor doesn't go well with everything.

I like the big 3 in Louisiana but in all honestly, I prefer much hotter blends.
I got a brand called Merfs that's pretty good. They have some good flavors with a really nice kick.

As of this post, I have reassembled my favorite to Louisiana, a hot souce I used to dismiss as trash. Now, I believe the ranks are Louisiana, Crystal, then Tabasco.
Crystal is superior to all as an everyday one. Louisiana is second.
Tabasco is last and only serves a purpose on beans or greens.

My wife's company makes Louisiana Hot Sauce.
She'll be traveling down to the plant in St. Martinville in the next month or so.
