Why shouldn’t they be able to have their own school? What’s the legal reasoning?

I'm here for it but the area is hardly downtown hoover. It's closer to Spain Park and Oak Mountain than downtown hoover.

Near Doug Baker on 280.

A request was denied by a vote of elected representatives. What's the illegal nature of this decision?

Because it was a Muslim school the city counsel better hope that they treaded carefully to make sure that they dotted their I's and crossed their T's to make sure that it was denied because of things like traffic and other development issues and not because it is a Muslim school. If they approved any Catholic/Christian schools that are similarly situated they might be in for a hurting legally. Having a bunch of anti-Muslim signs in attendance cuts against the credibility that the denial wasn't religiously motivated.

This is just in time for a Con Law 1st Amendment final exam question.

All of the goats at the nearby farms let out a collective sigh of relief.

Not really.

I wonder what the plans were for the training ground they claim to have been moving from. My guess is they weren't turning it into an apartment complex or movie theater.

Of course we all know there are religous motivations here, on bothnsides. Ultimately if a majority Christian area can't deny the spread of a group that ultimately wants Christians eliminated, then this country is toast and anyone who doesnt get that probably doesn't care what happens.

is it really a conspiracy "theory" if the leaders of the muslims openly call for this to happen and chant death to America?

Even if it is white nationalism - good. I support and embrace it. Who would prefer to live under sharia law than white nationalism, besides Muslims and left wing women?

Thank God.

Just moved to Meadowbrook earlier this year and don't need to take a hit in home value due to their cancer spreading.

I'm not necessarily disagreeing with your premise, but there are 250 years of SCOTUS precedent that disagrees with the legality of the government denying the ability of one religious groups to do something that it allows other religious groups to do solely based on religion. Good thing they had multiple other reasons, such as traffic impact.
