I don't envy you position as you are about to get a shite ton of exposure if that GoFundMe explodes.
Did you get the contact info from other passengers? May be best to help them with their unexpected expenses.

The front desk should be able to hook you up with a place that can deliver on base.... might be stuck with chains though

Good call. May have to check with some of te new friends we've made.
Oh this reminds me, i met a couple of passengers while waiting in the wuhan airport for 12 hours.
Both of these gents also took to Twitter for help when the state department plane was announced.
Both also made US media appearances.
Both also had GFM's set up on their behalf to help with travel expenses.
So I guess I wasnt the only one to go that route. Maybe I'll ge their contact info so TheOcean can give em a piece of his mind.

From our local news in Lafayette, LA it sounded like there was a family from Alexandria on that flight. Not sure how many in the traveling party.
