Yes, cars have to have horns and you should never pawn one.

Seems like a waste of resources for cops to be scouring local pawn shops

Why would I want to do that? I could never get full value for it!

The secondhand trumpet market is a lucrative game. Always wondered when the cops would get involved.

I've never hocked my horn, but I did honk it today. There was an a-hole, with Tennessee plates, in front of me on Airline in front of Hammond Aire that decided to stop and look around. She wasn't at a light. Just stopped in the road between Hammond Aire and Old Hammond. I almost ended up in her trunk. I don't know wtf she was doing, other than tapping her weave because her head was itching.

I know, if he was on such an important phone call and had so much police work to do then he shouldn't have time to argue about something he his obviously in the wrong about for over five minutes while holding up traffic.

I'm pretty sure you could lay on that puny thing all day long and not sound anything like rage.

Pffft, these guys should know by now, if you meant pawn you woulda spelled it "hawking".

Memphis had a law that was enforced to an extent until about 1980-ish that auto horns could only be used as a warning of impending danger. Honking of horns as a greeting or other form of non-warning communication was a ticket-able offense. Misdemeanor fine and reason for stop. Actually saw a few stops for it. Believe it fell under Public Nuisance and Noise Ordinances. (of course one of the stops I witnessed was the cops hot daughter getting honked at)
