I've only been on one and had an interior room. I was 18 (and someone else was paying) so I didn't care or spend much time in the room.

If I were paying now as an adult, I'd have a balcony. Some people genuinely don't care.

Cheap enough for 2 people to eat, drink, and do activities on $500 for a week? I'm not buying that.

Agreed. He may be different however.

Did you do Daytona beach back to BR?

No. That's the worst part. Sounded miserable even without the drive home.

So does this mythical strict grocery budget on-foot honeymoon in the jungle of Costa Rica that people are now discussing.

Terrible choice, financially. I see unstableness in your future.

Exactly. If this trip wasn't a honeymoon, of course you can do some more budget friendly things. I'm just of the opinion that the honeymoon shouldn't be about that (within reason of course).

but this thread is specifically about going on a Caribbean trip for 2 for $2k

I'm just trying to tell the OP that it can be done

whether or not I would do it for a honeymoon is kinda irrelevant

I'm with you.

I'm keeping a trip to the Bahamas under 3k for 4 people.

It can be done. I've used vrbo countless times, and I have yet to have a bad experience.
