Homicide Investigation on Indigo Ridge Dr in Baton Rouge (domestic murder-suicide)

This is a pretty nice neighborhood. Nothing normally happens there.

The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office is investigating a double homicide that happened on Indigo Ridge Ave. in Baton Rouge.
The call came in after a relative went to check on the residents of a home in the 16000 block of Indigo Ridge Ave. That’s off of O’Neal Ln. and George Oneal Rd.
That’s when two people, a man and woman, were found deceased inside the home, according to sources.

That wasn't too far from me. End of S Harrells Ferry near White Oak Landing. I remember the boys mom posting a lot about it on Nextdoor at the time

Two people found shot to death in neighborhood off O'Neal Lane Two people were killed in a reported shooting in a suburban Baton Rouge neighborhood.
They were found dead shortly before 12:30 p.m. on White Oak Trace Drive, off O'Neal Lane. Sources told WBRZ that it appeared both individuals may have been dead for some time before they were found Monday.

No. WAFB Listed the Address and I pulled property/people search records.

Word on the street is in December the same people were asleep at their house and woke up to some noise.
The husband found one guy in the house and one was coming in the window.
He ran to get his gun and they left before he got back.

You were initially thinking of Anthony Templet who shot and killed his father during an argument at 17 years old off of Gray Moss Ave near O’Neal Ln.
He was initially charged with 2nd degree murder out of the 19th JDC but had the charge amended to manslaughter after it was discovered the Dad was physically abusive at home. The kid pled no contest to manslaughter and was sentenced to 5 years of supervised probation. Once all the requirements for his probation are met, Templet is eligible for expungement.

Yeah his mom posted a lot on Nextdoor when that was going down and I guess I'm close enough to see posts from her neighborhood
