How about neither. Give that money back to the productive, tax paying members of society or lower taxes.

If the government absolutely must spend that money, spend it on domestic infrastructure. And not racist “equity” infrastructure like the dems want.

Those are unfixable.

How about the border and energy instead.

How about securing the border as our top priority?

There is no poverty in America. I've been in law enforcement for 30 years. Haven't been to the worst projects yet in the Glades that didn't have a color TV and cell phones. Not once.

"Poverty" is whatever some trust-fund radical activist defines it to be. People need to go overseas to see what real poverty is like. We have overweight homeless. That ain't poverty.

important to fix ?

Infrastructure and education would be primary fixes. Also more self reliance instead of relying on Russia and China for goods.

Doing the above would help curtail the homelessness, poverty, and threat of Russia/China

Have you ever even met a homeless person? You think people WANT mental illness?

Maybe you’ve been misled by rich people like Jewel and other celebrities who love to claim they were homeless when they were simply living out of a car or van between jobs.

You know better than to assume they bought either the tv or phone.

I agree with Chryso:

As for Ukraine - It is a sovereign nation with its own government. We need to allow them to deal with their own problems. It's not our responsibility to bail out the world when we, ourselves, are bankrupt (fiscally and morally).

We need to fix our own governmental problems before we look to direct the rest of the world.

More political than the Twitter threads.

But yeah. Domestic issues are way higher priority for me. Particularly infrastructure.

Both are a waste of money.

You can't fix either, they'll always be present. The scale just slides up or down.

Utopians try to fix things that cannot be fixed.

60% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck
Most Americans can not afford a $500 unplanned expense like an auto repair or medical emergency without borrowing money from a credit card.

Upper level executives make 1000× what regular employees who work for them do.

5% of the population holds 95% of the wealth.

I'm all for capitalism but something seems out of balance here.

I’ve never met a homeless person who I thought would be in a better position if they had more money. In fact they’d probably just be dead quicker. The “down on their luck” hobo is a myth. They’re all addicts and everything they do or say is a lie.

Well money will never fix the homeless problem in the US. Throwing endless money at it has just made it that much worse
