Again. Aren’t you an alcoholic?

a couple of decades ago, but not an addict like you rubes believe.

The correct terminology is functioning alcoholic. Employed, self sufficient.

You don't need to own a home. How about gtf off the street and stop hassling people who work for a living.
I'm tired of seeing all of the trash off the side of the road and dealing with beggars. Decent folks are fed up with this bs.

It’s always been my understanding that an addict will remain an addict. It’s just how they choose to control their addiction that matters.

You must be the exception to the rule. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Please continue to judge the homeless population from your ivory tower.

There’s no need to be rude about it, Abe. Catching an addict in a lie isn’t exactly rocket science.

I went to Denver last year to see my friend and I never see homeless people here in Ms, maybe because it’s too hot or out state governments wouldn’t put up with homelessness .. it was staggering in downtown Denver the entire sidewalks were littered with tents and homeless people and syringes

I was on edge walking through that because I didn’t know if we would be assaulted or worse . It was an eerie feeling

We had the same experience several years ago.

You're right. Still, it's nice to know my assessment was correct.

Their PLIGHT is a BLIGHT on society.

And there is no easy answer. All I can say is it should be a crime to give them money. If you feed a gator he will continually come back to your pier. He has no incentive to go elsewhere. Same with a human.

But by the Grace of God, there go I…

Funny you bring up God. I vividly remember when I was in Catholic school they taught us the proverb “and then Jesus spit on the homeless. For they were beneath him!”

Specifically what part of the Constitution prevents criminals from being put in jail?

I'll hang up and listen.

Most homeless who are on the streets are there because of behavioral issues that prevent them from living with others or around others.

The solution is tough love. Let If people die, it just has to occur. Bu subsidizing poverty we increase poverty

That was my point.

Just for the record, I'm completely fine with California giving people reparations as long as it's money out of their state and city budgets. Have fun with that.

But to your second point, is there anyway they could start attacking the homeless?

You are like the blind men and the elephant

You are correct about the drugs but the drugs are these folks "self medicating" with booze and drugs to replace the medical drugs when they were getting treatment from a facility. Take a look at Pat Dyes daughter and others who proved the "self medicating" route does not work.

Dumbass.

Its the drugs. Its where all available $$$$ goes.

Economics always deals in tradeoffs. This person has made their choice.

I'm the dumbass, lol. The person I was responding to said they can rent, stay with family, or go to a shelter. My pt was that none of that will happen because of their state. Pay attention. We agree.

Not at all. I have absolutely no desires to ever pick it up or do it again. The perpetuity of alcoholism is a marketing tool.

Maybe if I had one day left on this earth, but even then...the lasting memory of alcohol aint positive.

Opinions vary. It’s like the old saying “give a man a fish, you feed him for a day… teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime “

Drugs are the major issue in all of this. Most of the people on the streets chose the wrong master. One can NOT serve two masters.

Jesus spat on the ground to make mud to rub on the eyes of the blind homeless man to cure his sight. Other than that I know not of Jesus spitting on homeless.

Put them in concentration camps with hard labor. It may discourage others from doing drugs and becoming homeless.
