Home renovation has to be a major cause for divorce, right?

Wife is home all day while the contractor is here. Sees all kinds of stuff that is wrong. Does she say anything to him? No, she waits for me to get home from a long hard stressful day at work to bitch at me about all the stuff that is wrong. I lose my temper and yell at her and suddenly I am the bad guy. Now she’s not talking to me.

Young men, listen to me. Do not get married. Don’t do it.

How hard did you hit her?

You're smart to start denying.

Your wife doesn’t work? What is this the 1950s? Tell her to go out and start earning that bread.

She’s fricking the contractor, and so is your mom and grandmother

Consider the implications of this sentence, and you'll find the root of your problem.

Stop the remodel. Take the money saved and lease a secret apartment. Win/win.

Just know that it's ALWAYS the husband's fault.
It could even be a bad ending to a movie she's watching on TV, it's still your fault

I feel you slippy.

Just now finishing a remodel that was needed because of a neighbors tree falling through my roof. The problem is that one person needs to be the contact point for the GC. I am that point. Thus, i am like you, the only things I hear are the mistakes. In 5 months i have not heard one single compliment. Wears on you after a while.

I spend a significant time drinking with my dog. Only once have i lost my shite. She has been fine since then. Put your foot down sooner than later. Things will get better...if your woman is anything like mine.

Looks like you are beginning to figure out that you will always get the blame & never be right ..... about anything. Even worse during the PMS days. Good luck.

Get a better wife. Mine walked around with a roll of blue tape marking everything that needed to be corrected While they were working. All the workers dreaded seeing her and the blue tape. I will say they became more careful with their work.
