Went through this. Rebuilt an old home. I worked (as a contractor in a higher level field) and would come home everyday to some new complaint. I was hounded to tell the guys doing the work to fix the problems. Me being in the contractor world knew not to piss off workers doing the hard work. Wife and I had quite a few yelling matches along with me sleeping at buddies places afterwards.
Lesson learned, do not let your wife see the progress, only let her see the finished product.

Just another example of nothing good coming from a bored housewife. Put her to work, at a real job, not involving pyramid schemes.

Why you worried what other people think. Sounds exhausting

LOL holy shite, that was my wife during my Harvey remodel with our contractor. Like the OP, my wife bitched at me about the contractor not doing right so I gave her a roll of blue tape and said get busy. She did work though so when she got home she scrutinized aand then went to putting tape everywhere and no more bitching at me.
