Nah. He killed two people. That's capital murder. He'll get life in Angola.

Just that "shorty" did it.

What's up with black folks and their nicknames. Us white folk should start doing that. I need to start thinking about a good street name.

Law Enforcement would undoubtedly solve more murders if the same amount of attention was given to every murder.

well a common complaint I hear from the police is how no one in the hood will ever speak up to help solve crime. I bet there were lots of people willing to help here. Not so much in the hood.
Christ, you can't turn the news on without hearing about another hood murder, but no one ever comes forward. Thats on the people who live in those areas. not the rest of the public.

The "hot jail cell next to DTL" implied I'd like to see this guy on death row.

MapQuest says 919 miles
from Baton Rouge to Miami.

About a 13 hour drive without stopping.

Not if the Hillary Moore and the 19th JDC have anything to do with it. He'll get 10 years for each murder and will have it suspended to 3mos house arrest. But hey, we got ourselves a conviction stat.

Well you can bet they'll go for that, and will probably get it. Like I said, this is first degree. "Premeditation" is not an element. He killed two people. That's enough.

I'll just leave this right here, Goober.

Lee Turner sentenced to Death for Carquest Murders in BATON ROUGE

quote:

District Attorney Hillar Moore said the sentence was a just one for a "cold-blooded, senseless murder."

He said from his conversation with jurors that he believes their decision came down to seeing "a complete lack of emotion and a lack of culpability" from Turner during the trial.

Huh? He's about as good of a DA as I've seen in a long time. Really nice, solid, trustworthy guy.

If you wanna bitch, bitch about the judges
