I’m sure HOA, llc related to housing going after people with unsubstantiated rumors about the legality of them being here based on their race would play well in a fair housing civil rights lawsuit.

First off, I’m neither a boomer or gen X. So you’re stupid saying that.

Secondly, what law are we ignoring? An HOA rule isn’t a law made by our lawmakers. So you’re stupid saying that.

Thirdly, living in a free America annd having freedom isn’t apathy.

Some of you folks! Call ICE and tell them there's a rumor that a couple of "suspected" illegals are living peacefully in your neighborhood. They ain't coming, in fact you may end up on some type of list. Local LE isn't coming either.

Consult an attorney to see if any "enforceable" HOA rules are potentially being broken. If he says, yes, go through the HOA.

Her Cadillac is still parked out front and she still walks her dog every day, waters her flowers, etc...

Again this is right across the street.

All this and you haven't talked to her about the situations?

I am on the board of both our HOAs and the first thing I ask someone when they have a Karen complaint is if they have talked to the neighbor that is offending them. Most of the time they are just too much of a baby back bitch and want someone else to do their Karen work for them. The vast majority of the time when they have a polite conversation with the neighbor the issue gets resolved without any HOA involvement and both parties and the neighborhood are better off. Letting something fester just ends up turning it into something it never needed to be.

This is my business. It's the house across the street. We have lots of kids on this street. We have no idea who these people are.

Does your HOA do background checks on all new homeowners? A lady just bought the house across the street from me. I don’t know shite about her, and I’m married to the HOA president.

Spread the word to all the Karen’s in the neighborhood, and let them eat.

That's fine but the HOA covenants aren't for each individual homeowner to enforce. I can't go up to my neighbor if he's doing something against the rules and make him remedy it. If there are rules, the rules will also include how they're enforced.

I don't disagree, I was only responding to the idea of "what I do with my house is my business" within the context of an HOA.

If he has some sort of problem, he needs to take it up with the HOA. It sounds like he did and didn't like their answer so he's boudae'ing here.

Yeah, I also agree here. The OP is describing something that doesn't sound like a sublet so would not violate a no sublet rule of the HOA. It sounds like he brought it up and was told it was a nonissue.

What if the first thing they do is rape and murder? I don't give a frick about their rights when ours are routinely denied.

Just tell a couple meth heads at shelter nearby they can score there. They'll be overrun at first and after the fracas dies down the cops will then move in (once all the meth heads went back to taxpayer funded shelters)

Who are they hurting? Is this a prestigious gated community? Are they violating obvious HOA rules base on activities at the residence?

My property value for one. It will adversely effect the value of the property if you introduce multi-family homes into a single family area. And yes they are violating several rules, driving through my grass and working on their cars and trucks out front.

Somebody else ease explain to me why the frick should it matter if my neighbor has 30 fricking people shacked up in their house? ITS THEIR HOUSE. it doesn't concern you one damn bit. God some of you people are pussies.
Your exceptionalism is exactly why HOAs were started and are still around.

30 people living in in a single family residence is a public safety issue.

If there are folks amongst the 30 who can’t take care of themselves, they are put at risk as well.

Are there school-aged kids there? The taxation level of that property does not adequately account for their public education.

The same is true for police services. 30 people require more protection than do a single family.

No one forced the owner to legally obligate herself to the covenants of the property.

If you like lawlessness and not following rules so much, try living in Somalia for a while.

That’s the epitome of “you can’t tell me what to do with my property”.
