Story
A Sydney bar hailed for being the first of its kind in Australia has shut its doors for good, blaming the difficult economic climate for its closure.
The Ladies League, located on Sydney's Oxford Street, opened in August 2024 to showcase live women's sport matches and replays of women's games.
However in a shock announcement on Wednesday, the venue explained it was calling last drinks and closing down for good.
'It's with a heavy heart that we will not be re-opening the doors at The Ladies League,' The Ladies League wrote on Instagram. 'As a women's sports bar, we excelled. Anyone who attended a Matildas, Sydney FC, Grand Final etc game day at our venue, knows what a show we can put on.

It was nothing but something that looks good on paper.
It’s just like DEI.
It’s just like DEI.

And yet again the feminist strikeout at trying to be men. They hate men yet copy them, and quite poorly at that.

Any bar that closes after only 5 months tells me that the owners have zero idea what to expect/what they are doing. There are fundamental issues with that place that have nothing to do with showing women’s sports.

There ARE some excellent women's sports if you can get past them being women's sports, which the OT and the rant despise.
College volleyball is great. The action is nonstop, and the athleticism is top notch. Women's basketball, when between 2 good teams, can be really fun to watch. The officials, unlike with men's games, let them play more, and it can be very physical. Many of the track and field games captivate audiences, especially during the olympics.
I'm not sure about somen's soccer, don't watch soccer at all.

Getting a large group of women all together is always a recipe for disaster. At their core they all hate each other to some degree, even the lesbians.
Bill Burr’s skit on the lifeless dead look in a lesbian’s eyes is spot on.
The only truly happy go lucky people are the gays.
Women are wired to not just BE happy.
Sure, they may GET happy, and you can even MAKE them happy. But they sure as shite ain’t staying happy. They will always revert to their steady state of unhappy, discontent, disappointed, irritated, etc.
Put a bunch of them in a bar with alcohol and no men and it’s going to turn miserable pretty quick.

I have absolutely had more fun watching the laundry spin in the front-loading washer.

Someone opened a scissors store across the street from it and the clientele became distracted.
