If you think thia wasn't primarily about his business you aren't thinking straight. Also, no telling if he does animal charity or not.

Scout is a Golden, best dogs ever.

I've got two, and I'd spend that money if I had it to save mine.

Makes me more likely to buy WeatherTech products too.

1. Opening a door for someone.
2. Letting someone out in traffic.
3. Picking up something someone else dropped and handing it to them.
4. Pickup up to a slight jog while walking through a parking lot and a vehicle is waiting on you.
5. Tipping

You get absolutely nothing personally out of doing these things. There are many good deeds that are unselfish.

Would be crazy if he got home and scout saw a squirrel and bolted out to grab it and got run over by a car.

Let’s be honest this is a $6 mil Weathertech commercial that just so happens to thank a vet.

They knew this was a unique story that would get a lot of press.

I doubt they'll receive more than $6 million!

There is a reason that this guy is a multi millionaire from selling car floor mats. He took something that people bought for $10 at the car parts store, made them a bit thicker and charges $120 for them. Meanwhile, he could have bought a commercial that people would watch and forget.

Instead, he did this.

Now millions of people are going to watch the damn commercial BEFORE it even runs. Guy is a marketing genius.

A soldier leaping onto a grenade to save his comrades is an unselfish good deed.

The man who drowned in the Potomac River after passing the rescue ring to other surviving passengers (plane crash, river frozen) did an unselfish good deed.

Update: The vet doesn't like football and will be watching the puppy bowl on Animal Planet, where the ad would have cost only $350.

That's brilliant.

Purdue has the one of the best veterinary oncology research centers. That's another good one to support.

As a bonus, with cancer the research can translate to humans.

First, the guy gets to write off the $6M as some type of donation.
Further, with this exposure, I'm willing to bet that more than $6M will be raised for all vet schools across the country.

Yeah, this would have been a far better gesture overall. Glad he loves his dog though.

Yes, millions of people. But what percentage of those people are actually going to make a donation?
