. Imagine everywhere you went people were trying to publish photos of your kids to get paid. It has to be exhausting

quote:Agree. But there were plenty of indications that he could be papparazo, that it wasn't an unreasonable assumption by her either.
The fact that the guy has a nice camera does not mean that he is a paparazzo. And she had no evidence to prove that he was. Fair enough?

Oh totally. I get that.
I personally think it would make more sense for a parent to have spoken to him without a camera in his face initially, so as to not immediately put the dude on the defense, but I am sure being a celebrity makes her a little more fed up than a regular parent would be.
Actually surprised one of the other parents didn't go confront him instead of her.

Playing devils advocate like you.
I would love to see this boards reaction to a lone black guy with a telepho lens taking pictures of their kids at a BREC park soccer game. Man, how the narrative would change

Do you really need me to explain anything else to you?
yes please explain to me how pictures of some kids who people are not familiar with makes them a photo opportunity.

I’m sure he wasn’t the only adult taking pictures as it’s pretty common for parents to be taking pictures at their kids’ sporting events. I see them all the time on Facebook. So what was it about this guy that stuck out to Hillary that made her know he didn’t have any kids playing??
Posted on 2/24/20 at 6:21 pm to OweO
Probably sells them to creeps on the internet. Is that why you are taking his defense so personally?
Posted on 2/24/20 at 6:21 pm to PearlJam
at the end of the day none of us really know what he was doing. could he have been a creep? unlikely, but possible. paparazzi? maybe. photographer practicing his craft like he said he was doing? probably.
i can see why hilary would be upset but at the same time i doubt the dude meant any harm.

She didn’t know. That’s why she asked him and he said he didn’t have any kids playing.

Rhetorical question?

I was with her until she called soccer football. Communists.

it was flag football.

Hillary Duff should be happy someone still wants to take pictures of her or her family these days.

Old dude has a nice photography setup for sports and seemed 100% genuine, even offering ID.
She is over-reacting. She shouldn't go around accusing people of being a pervert.

I like to hear the excuses and explanations from the men go to highschool football games and try to get cheerleader up-skirts..but get busted/outed and try to defend their actions.

Dude should know better than to show up solo dolo and start taking pics of 7 year olds. Legit reasons or not this immediately will raise red flags to many people. His "it's legal" defense is shitty. You gotta know the optics are bad.
Hilary Duff came across as snooty and crossed the boundary of concerned parent into a-hole once the guy offered his ID and explained why he was there.
