There's a neighborhood right before ccla called Highland Crossing. The cheapest home is probably 1.1M.

My parents had one of the first houses built in there in 1984...that is what they cost back then..I would imagine there is not a single house back there now for less than 2 million.

That's Favre's place? Sheesh. Still probably cheaper than his Island in Orange Beach.

That neighborhood Valhalla doesn’t look cheap either.

It isnt. Toured a house there a year or so ago. Place was unbelievable but something like 5 bedrooms.

The first house on the left they havent finished yet is ridiculous

Not all the rich folks wanna live back there in CCL.

Yeah, I personally think living on Highland itself is far more desirable than being in a neighborhood. But I wouldn't turn up my nose at either.

Me neither. I have a friend in CCL and they don't mind it at all. But they do have HOA type bullshite that some folks don't want to deal with. Even Rich people hate the HOA. Who knew?

BTW, I bolted last night and went get BRQ Wings. frickin too busy in there. So YUMMY.

I was wondering why we didn't see you again. Place was packed -- we leave and went to Bulldog after eating. I'll be hitting that up more Wednesdays after work. Those are some damn good wings.

Yep. the combination of big LSU away game + LSU classes back in session + Wing night = clusterfrickery at my favorite bar and wings. Next week!

This stretch running from siegen/burbank passed CCL always amazes me when i drive it. doesn't feel like Baton Rouge

Old Perkins from Highland to Airline is also a good drive with some nice houses.

Jim Bernhard (Shaw Owner) lives next to CCLA. His home is MASSIVE!

As does Dr. Charles Williamson (owner of Williamson Eye Clinics). He lives in the mansion at the front of Highland Crossing right at Highland. Yard backs up to the lake. Beautiful home. Been in it twice for Christmas parties.

Those few houses were always so out of place.

They were there way before most of those neighborhoods on highland. I imagine they will make a nice chunk selling their property

My grandfather once told me “if you want to be rich, rip off stupid people”

So do that, if you can look yourself in the mirror.

I never knew that Cleo had that kind of money. Obviously, I knew he was wealthy but I didn’t have him on that level.

Being a close government associate with Edwin Edwards is quite profitable
