In Louisiana, if a kid gets in your face, you just smile and punch the admin button. If a threatening word is uttered, you can interpret the situation as posing imminent harm and you can stand your ground.

For anyone that doesn’t realize this, fighting with a necktie is one of the stupidest things you could possibly do.

CSB…. 10+ years ago at the local HS scenario per one of my sons.
If a fight between students broke out, coach Shaw, who was built like a tank would outright tackle the duo and pin the most aggressive one. The students would give up. Once a year coach Shaw goes into the weight room during football weight training and out lift everyone. Word in school was to not fight when he was there. Once a huge DL actually confronted Coach Shaw and bam, the young man submits when he hits the floor. We never heard of any kickback on him getting physical with students. But, things have changed a lot since then.

That’s already on the books. Didn’t seem to make much difference in this case.
