Born in the beginning on '80 ...Certainly not a Millennial.
There are so many graphs that show that Millennials start early to mid 80's. But anyone born 80-83 I'd consider the latter half of GenX

Also, Gen Y, which was 1980-1990 are getting screwed. These kids spanned the age where having a computer and internet access wasn't a given. Knowing how to navigate a word processor was for nerds.

1978-1984 is the Oregon Trail Generation or Xennials.

Glad we figured out 1980. I’ve always said millennial.

If you started college in the '90's, you are not a millennial.

So what are those born between 1990 and 1995 or so? They are worlds apart from my younger siblings born between 1979 and 1985.

1990-1995 is undeniably millenial.

1979 is Gen X.

1980 is Gen X.

1981 I've seen both ways, but generally considered a millenial.

1982-1985 is back squarely in millenial territory.

I love when 80-85 people get so pissed about getting called millennials. It’s hilarious. Sorry baws, you are millennials in a lot of studies.

It's embarrassing.

If you're 30 you're a millennial. Get over it. Doesn't mean you have to fit the stereotype portrayed here.

American generations have been discussed for a long time. The problem is that they are sometimes difficult to determine where to begin or end and those born at the extremes won't fit squarely into one or the other.

Why are the images out of order? It's bugging me more than it should. Chronological should be from left to right, not right to left. frick whoever did this shite.

Think it was SFP and I who had this conversation on here.

I was born in early 1981 to parents who are actually older than Boomers (silent generation born in 1940 and 43). Outside of one of my friends having AOL in HS my first internet experience was my freshman year at LSU and I got a cell phone halfway through college (Motorola brick). We learned typing on typewriters and there was no Facebook until after I was done with undergrad (where it was for college kids only).

Someone even 5-6 years younger of similar economic means growing up likely had a vastly different experience with technology and the ability to communicate.

It’s insane how quickly the world changed in the late 90s/early 2000s.
