Help! My dog refuses to eat: UPDATE pg. 3 he ate!

Had him for 2 weeks, he was eating Okay, not as much as he should but okay up until about 2 days ago.
He has a hookworm and something else that he's on medication for, could that be he issue?
I mean he won't eat AT ALL, we had to persuade him to eat a spoonful of peanut butter with his meds in it, he straight up refuses to eat his dog food no matter what we do.
Could it be just because of the meds? He hasn't eaten a bite of his food in almost 2 days now, is he just super picky? Someone help pls
ETA: he will hardly drink water either

I am more worried about him not drinking water. Take him to a vet NOW.

This would be a bigger alarm to me. Call your vet.

If he won't drink go to the vet ASAP it could be the meds but it could be something else.

He was at the vet I think 3 days ago, does it change anything that he's 2?
And he will drink water, just not very much of it

My dog won't eat when we go out of town. I guess he thinks he's teaching us a lesson. He also won't eat unless someone is in the kitchen.
Maybe he's pissed off at you for something. Ask him.
Feed him when yall are sitting down to eat dinner? Maybe take the bowl away unless you're at the table?
Idk. Also dogs quit eating when they are about to die. Then they like to wander into the woods alone. I'll probably do this when its my time to go.

Vet ASAP. Could be a sore throat, could be something else. As others have said, the water is very worrisome. Dehydration will take a dog down in a hurry.

Then they already are familiar with him and his illness. I would still call them with concerns. I know our vet will call a few days later after we bring ours in for issues as a follow up.
Seriously....just call your vet now before they close and talk to them about it.

I went through a similar thing when I got my dog. He just didn't like some foods. I'd leave his bowl full for a few days, and he wouldn't eat it. After about 10 different types of food, I finally got something he loves
I'd at least give the vet a call. Could be the med's making him feel bad, but it could be something else. My dog drinks a bowl and a half of water a day

Bring him to the vet. Something is not right. The dog is trying to tell you "something is not right". Could be the meds but get him to the vet asap. The emergency 24 hr vet is on airline near the Nissan dealer.

I used to take a pug I had when I lived in BR there. They always treated him well there. Def recommend them if you are in BR.

yeah. my dog will sometimes protest food if i didn't get him what he wants (kibble and bits is all he will eat) but not drinking water ain't no good. he's not coughing/hacking or anythihg along with that?

How are your dogs motor skills? If ok, probably nothing to worry about. If the dog becomes lethargic or weak then bring it to the vet.
