Help me with getting sticker residue off of metal

I just got a new chef knife and for some reason it had a clear sticker on the side of the blade. I got the sticker off but now there's a big blotch of sticker residue. I have tried non-acetone nail polish remover, 70% rubbing alcohol, and dish detergent and none of it is working. I can rub it some but I can't even scratch it off. Help.
Give me your wisdom, OT. Save my knife. Save my life.

Kill it with fire. Not sure what to do with your knife.

Mix a concoction of paint thinner and coarse salt into a paste. Dip a cut potato into the paste and then rub in concentric circles.

Ok, how about nail polish remover WITH acetone. You know since it's the active ingredient and all.

Did you try dish detergent? That usually does the trick.

As a side note.....
What kind of a cheap arse chef's knife did you buy?

WD-40 worked for the most part. Still three little blotches left. A big thank you to everyone who's replied. Going to continue trying everything. My hand is completely soaked in WD-40 now so yeah
I don't know but it's sharp. The brand sounds German. Washing wd-40 off atm
Luv u 2
Going to try it again

How the hell did you manage that? A dab and a scotchbrite pad would've done the trick.
