I may as well drive around on a boat attached to a trailer. It would corner the same.

OK I am out. I have been trying to give honest performance car advice to someone and then they go and say this. The GTD is a sub-7 'Ring car. One of the best-handling cars in the world. It is the best-handling car mentioned in this thread* and also the most expensive.

* except maybe the Atom which is a PITA to register in a lot of states as it is NHTSA classified as off road use only.

The only American car I would buy (way outside my budget) is a Ford GT—the old one. Timeless design and wasn’t built for a straight line. A mustang will always be a mustang.

That doesn’t change how retarded your comment about the GTD is. Also, it’s built by Canadians.

OK, NORTH Americans.

I don’t hesitate to consider buying a Canadian-built automobile as I think of the build quality as on a par with US-built vehicles.

I still like best having that “J” as the first VIN character.

I would drive anything Multimatic built. They’re first class. I was lucky enough to drive one of their GT4 mustangs and it was phenomenal.

It’s ok if you don’t know what a Ford GTD is. But just google it before you say something dumb.

OT but, It's going to be interesting to watch Porsche as a company for the next ten years.

They're not doing well. Result of becoming over-zealous on electric vs ICE development. The product life cycle of the Cayman and Boxster ending production and availability.

They're left with no car less than $110K. The Taycon and Panamera sells have tanked. The cheapest 911 is $135K. Now they have a gap at the lower end that sounds like will be an electric Boxster and Cayman with a ICE to follow. In stead of developing the Taycon they should have pumped more money into the 718 development.

Merkur XR4ti. German built, which you seem to like, but not a beemer. Did come with a manual. And, not too much horsepower--about 175. It's the perfect car for your aspirations.

Unless you're just a douche who wanted to brag about having enough money to buy a 911 but being too cool for one, that is.

I wouldn’t pay over 150k for that car and that’s where you get into better option territory. Even Verstappen hinted at that car cornering like a boat during his Ford-RB social media promo.
