Did he give you a reckless driving ticket?
If the answer is no, why would you want to prove you were speeding?

I had something similar but much lower speeds. He got me for going 55 in a 35. I was sitting at a light 100 feet from the parking lot in which the speed trap was set up, which also happened to be my destination. I never even had time to get up to 55 if I wanted to. I didn’t think anything of it. I pulled into this parking lot, parked, started looking at my phone when I was surprised by a knock on the window. The cop then briefly accused me of evading before just writing me a speeding ticket.
My theory is he never saw me supposedly speeding, that he just saw me pull off and assumed I did so to dodge the speed trap. With no evidence for evasion he wrote me a speeding ticket just to get me for something.
This is a good argument for dash cams that record your speed.

Get all the body cam and dash cam video and all the info you can dig up on the cop and post it up here. Let the OT help you win this case.

A lot of the time they are throwing out an 80 in a 75 because there is error allowed and judges are humans as well
Is 75 pretty common in Louisiana? It's all 70 out this way.

If you have Life 360 on your phone, it typically tracks routes and the speed driven. Go see if it's there and get a screenshot before it goes away.

Actually no. Goes to 75 just after exit before Washington headed north.

Life 360 or any of the apps that insurance use will say your max speed on a drive and the time/date. They call you out for speeding if you go over 80.

I don't know how good a "I was going 10 over and cars were flying past me" argument is going to hold up.
I for one am confused why OP got pulled over and not one of the cars that were “flying past him”.

Were you taking your dog to the vet?

Life360 got me out of this exact situation. Shows top speed of your recent trips.

Take it to trial and ask for the calibration record for the radar. I had one speeding ticket. Got of I-49 in Shreveport. No speed signs getting off. But I knew if you went left it was 35 and right was 40. I was turning right and was going under 40. And was immediately pulled over for going 39.
I knew it was bullshite but didn't argue. I showed up for traffic Court and the D.A. said I didn't have to pay, use the money for a nice lunch and have a good day. Took ten steps, I turned around and said really? Him and the judge laughed and waved me away. My mom worked for the police department and said that cop was always getting wrote up for that crap.

do you need the premium (pay) app , or will the free app of Life360 provide enough info?

Just think about all the times you’ve went over the speed limit in your life and got away with it. Using that mindset, if you pro-rate down the cost of the ticket, you’re talking fractions of a penny. Not a bad value at all!

Gas mileage doesn't increase until you're over 100. Dumb arse.

Sitting in court absolutely sucks and it's unlikely you'll get out of the ticket.
I have plead not guilty to speeding tickets and it rarely went well. Several times I was eventually found guilty and because I plead not guilty I had to pay court costs on top of the fine.

What good would that do if he clocked one of the cars flying past him?

The free version shows top speeds on like your last 4 or 5 drives.
Now if you get called out for doing 65 in a 30 and you just drove a section doing 65 in a 65 before it, then it wont help.
But cop said I was doing 90 in a 65 and I showed him my top speed was 68 according to the app and he let me go.
