Chances that bastard by Acapulco jumps across into the Gulf and creates more problems?

Nah, but it's gonna be really bad for those folks in Mexico.

In PCB at my elderly grandparents place 2 miles from the gulf through the weekend. My dad said he’ll decide in the morning if we’re all going to evacuate to The Biloxi or NOLA. Kind of rooting for it.

ETA: it’s minor pandemonium here at gas stations and wal mart.

I ask as someone posting here who lives in that area said it wasn’t being talked about much re: the possibility and he expected pandemonium mid week. Hence I was curious if people had started to take notice.

doesn’t affect me but I hope those that are are taking heed.

Problem is - you don't really know what you're preparing for.

Earlier today it was a Cat 6 Doomcane. Latest models are way under what they were. Does it move more East, does it not???

Still a lot of questions.

I totally get that .. but there are still some things you can do. We did everything for Francine to prep our house and have gas, water, meds etc.

And fortunately nothing happened and our electricity didn’t even blink. So it was for nothing but I was ok with that.

Hope that’s the case for these folks.

Am I to assume I made the right call by cancelling my trip this Thurs-Sunday in OB? Any one else had a trip coming up that they’re having to reschedule or cancel?

I'm in Marianna. We took a beating with Michael. Friends here, in PCB, and Tallahassee area are all very much aware but trying to keep a level head and not let PTSD take over. Food, water, fuel, pick up crap outside. Half of my neighborhood was mowing their lawns today (even though we haven't had rain in 2 weeks and it doesn't really need it...) a bit of nervous energy...

You seem to know quite a bit. So does faster storm movement favor more Westerly tract? If storm slows, would likely tract move more towards East/Tampa area?

Edit: Spelling/grammar
