Yes they are usually pretty bullish. But these are the lowest mb's ive ever seen from them. The mb prediction itself doesn't mean much, moreso that there could be an ideal environment for quick intensification.

I've been plenty of times. We try and go by boat to as many places as we can when down there.

Upper air patterns are concerning, but if it takes the path that the majority of models are showing sea surface temps will be just as big a factor in the strengthening process. You couldn't really pick out a better path for the storm to take advantage of those SSTs.

Nice, not too worried yet, just hoping it doesn't take a hard shift east towards us. I'm on the emergency team at my hospital I work at, so I can't leave.

The bingo card has been abused so much this season, it looks like a wizard's sleeve.

Haha, I already asked that. Are we going together? I honestly think it'll be shitty weather, instead of cool, Fall weather. I'm probably canceling my room.

Both HABS A and HABS B get this below 900 MB and HMON down to 918

I would expect the 18z or 00z runs to back off once the recon data is assimilated. However, as mentioned earlier, the upper levels have looked primed for explosive development. The question is how much of that window is spent organizing a core.

the next 72 hours are going to be critical in the development of this storm across the southern and mid gulf.

it really is a disservice when models predict these ridiculous numbers
A cat 2 hurricane will not have 180 mph and I know nothing about the weather

It is still in progress. They've only made one drop so far.
