JUST IN - Greene County now has three operational emergency pumps capable of moving approximately 7 million gallons of water per day. The water reservoir has reached a sufficient level to begin supplying water to the towers, and officials are hopeful for positive updates on the situation within the next 24-48 hours.

However, due to damage to water transmission lines across the river, some customers in the Chucky and Glinn Hills utility districts may not receive service immediately once water returns. Crews are working to activate a temporary line beneath the river to restore service to all customers. A boil water advisory will be in effect once the water is restored.
