but the actual data isn’t jiving with the forecast/projections
You have all of the data already?
That's amazing considering it takes the NHC/NWS a while to put together the official report after one passes. They should hire you to save some time.
You have been crying this whole thread about it being weaker than anticipated. You were crying about it while it was making landfall.
Maybe wait for the official reports. The official report on Laura found it to actually be stronger than the forecast and early data.

I am very serious. You and I both know what the cone is for and how it’s supposed to be interpreted. But we both are smart enough to realise what people actually do with a track map. NHC busted on that, despite many models showing they were busting. They are the BEST in the world and we are blessed to have them, but it’s not heresy (or shouldn’t be) to make this observation.

What are you talking about? Be specific.

The center track is a very significant 60 plus miles east of where it was predicted to be 10 hours ago. 60 miles with a major urban area in the crosshairs. ICON GFS and others showed this.
From Atlanta to east of Athens is significant.

What happened to that loop back to the NW over Tennessee? It looks to be moving NE
It's supposed to take a hard NW turn and be over Ft.Campbell by tonight.

Isn't the updated center track still within the previous cone? That's how the cone works FYI

Yeah, the NHC purposefully misled people. It was all part of their plan and some sort of conspiracy.

99% of Lowdens County, which is Valdosta, GA is in the dark.
Goddamn!

Sarcasm and preening won’t change what our eyes see. It is possible to make this observation and yet still understand how the cone works.
I don’t hate the NHC. I’m not your straw man.

Do you know how the cone works idiot?

Actually, it shifted more like 120 miles east b/c the original track had it hugging the Bama line.

Don’t be a dolt. None of the surrounding airports/weather stations/tide gauges that stayed online corroborated any of the wind speeds being shown in the field by recon or projections. Pick any you want and post them, I just haven’t seen them.

Beautiful debate technique you have there.
