GFS around landfall:

Euro with a struggling low in the BoC:

EuroAI farther along than I initially thought, it is almost off the map and post tropical, having made landfall much earlier around PCB:

That's quite a bit west of the runs I saw yesterday, and much closer to where Francine hit.

I wonder if that pussy from LC that was crying and saying frick everyone else in that thread will make a comeback and wish it on us again 3 weeks later

I'm in Fairhope and that 6Z GFS run is giving me Sally vibes with it deepening upon approach as it crawls north into mouth of Mobile Bay. Sally strengthened down to 965 mb as it made landfall in Gulf Shores.

I'm on Plash Island

There's practically nothing you can take from these runs, especially as far as any landfall is concerned.

day before yesterday GFS had it as a Cat 4 around Lake Charles
yesterday was a 4 hitting Tampa
Today it's 2/3 hitting Montegut.
Tomorrow? who the hell knows.

There is zero use in paying attention to landfall locations on models right now.

We're still at the only thing we care about os if the models are showing genesis.

There’s a chance this thing gets buried in Mexico and doesn’t effect the US at all.

I wish it'd hurry and figure itself out. I'm close to buying tickets to the Auburn-Oklahoma game.

How many bulk cargo ships full of silica gel would we need to park in the path of the eye? Or maybe just some Saharan dust / sand?

It would be a once in a lifetime chance to ride out a storm on the beach at landfall. Do it or you’re a pussy.

It seems the most anyone can say at this point is that a very weak low pressure system will have moved, or mostly moved, over the YP by Wednesday of next week. Beyond that, nobody knows.
