WTF? Suicidal? Or just stupid?
Yacht insurers require you to relocate your vessel for storms to remain insured. Sanibel Island is hundreds of miles south of this storm's eye, but the seas were affected.

I hate to say it but Tally looks to be getting at least some the N and W eyewall. That just happens to be the heaviest rain location. Could be 3 to 4 inches an hour for a few hours.
I hope everyone stays safe.

St Pete Beach up to Redington Is under water about 4 -5’ currently. Water still quickly piling up. A lot of people stayed on Treasure Island as well. local reports of people trapped now. Im across the bridge in Bay Pines but all seems flooded down on the coasts in Pinellas.

I am in Snellville and there’s hardly any wind here
I'm north of you in the area where Gwinnett, Hall, Barrow, and Jackson meet. Been raining all day and night but hardly any wind. Expecting the shite to hit the fan around 3:00 or so. If the Euro/HRRR get it right we are right at the western eye wall.

The storm surge in the blue house stream is incredible. Especially over the last 30 minutes.

Man the nights on periscope, asking people to show us some knuckles and the blue shed. So many fond memories…

It’s crazy seeing the difference in attitude on hurricanes for Floridians vs South La and SE Tx.
The 2 hurricanes in the La/Tx area were Cat 1 and Cat 2 all the way and most people in these threads were getting the hell out of there. Seems like Floridians moreso feel like they can ride out a storm and it’s a damn Cat 4.
As someone who rode out Ida in New Orleans it just seems crazy to me that anyone would want to stick around for this shite. The constant beating of the wind might be one of the scariest things you experience in life.

Yeah it is going to get interesting in a few hours. Just can’t believe that some folks in North Ga are already losing power.

Apparently a bunch of homes in Madeira Beach have 3-4+ feet of water inside
