The inland wind threat looks similar to Hugo in 1989. Depending on the track, parts of metro Atlanta will see damaging winds.
Similarly, Hugo raked Charlotte with hurricane force winds in 89.
High wind warnings also posted in TN, KY, with TS Warnings in the Carolina mountains.
