Moving at 5 degrees heading. Westward motion appears to be over for now.

Recon reported 969.4 raw reading but not from a dropsonde.

It seems like the same cycle that happened earlier that lead to the pinhole eye talk has happened again. I don't know what to call it, but both times it has had a series of convective bursts and tried to wrap them up it has filled in the eye. This time it has resulted in a larger area of convection wrapping generally around toward the SW side. Odd.

yeah- it’s been holding steady for many hours now. I’m beginning to wonder if there is a chance it never gets to major status. That would be great for the panhandle/ big bend area if true. It’s quite a bit behind schedule now it appears.
