This is a feeling that I cannot explain, but I hope all of you get to experience it one day. Pure awe.

Very different from meeting your own children.

Congrats buddy

Aging has really start to hit me hard the last few years. My daughter is only 14 and the thought of a grandchild just doesnt even seem "real" to me but it's going to be so awesome to do this all over again from that perspective.

What grandpaw name did you pick out?

When my daughter was borh my dad asked if he could chose is name that my daughter would call him and of course we agreed. He said.."okay, she'll call me Davey Crockett"

"WTF" we thought.

As a kid, I always wanted to be Davey Crockett and now's my chance so I am going to take it.

We eventually went with Paw-Paw but his point was well recieved,

In the stream of life with its rising waters, you’re standing upstream of your child who is in shallower water, holding his or her hand, and now they are holding your grandson’s hand in the shallowest water downstream. Meanwhile you’re holding your parents hands who are upstream of you, now maybe totally covered by the rising water but still there.

I have a new grandson but won’t see him for a couple weeks. I can’t wait to hold him.

Plot twist: your grandson is 15 years old. Just kidding, I've seen how much my dad enjoys the grandkids. Maybe I'll be lucky enough to hold mine some day.
