Interesting.
I think most people who listen to metal have been hurt/traumatized in their lives. The anger is an outlet.
Maybe people who have suffered don’t want to inflict suffering on others?

The shocking part is that someone spent time researching this shite.

This past year at Louder Than Life felt like a TikTok convention because of the tok rock bands they booked. All these girls snuck in their phone tripods and selfie sticks taking pictures and shooting videos.
Most of them said none of the guys complimented them on their outfits, only girls. I can believe that metal guys don’t care. If they have a girlfriend or wife, it’s definitely cause of the music/lifestyle.

I have been to what seems like a million metal shows in my life. We don't have the most attractive fans. It is the truth. The heavier the band, the more unattractive the fans are.
Women at metal shows in the '80s were fine asf.

Correct. It was amazing. Hot women everywhere at 80's rock/metal shows. Those were the best days ever. The power of MTV was real.

The shocking part is heavy metal fans having partners to cheat on.
Heavy Metal fans seem to likely have confidence issues. Not all obviously, I like all types of music. I don't like heavy metal as in death metal or that really hard shite, but I like hard rock with a touch of metal.. That's what I would consider Metallica or maybe the band Anthrax.. But rap only 9% is surprising.

Did they group R&B with Jazz? That would explain a lot.
