Anyone have any insight on this hospital? Saw they have a couple ICU positions available. Coming from Ochsner Main Campus and looking for a job in Lafayette.

I'd rather have a bad heart than go to Lafayette to get them to look at my heart.

Saying it before someone else does.

Had a buddy that did x-rays there. He liked it. Seems like a nice place

My dad has had to stay there a couple of times for stents, they have always provided good care. A buddy of mine had a FWB who was a nurse there. Said she liked working there.

My mom and dad have both been patients there in the past couple of years. We all recognized some of the nurses there from a previous stay at a different hospital.

We joked about it with them but they said that Heart Hospital recruited them from other facilities. My parents were very pleased and I was very pleased as their daughter with the level of care that they got.

Have no clue about working conditions though.

Isn't it ironic that an area famous for all of it's boudin and cracklin businesses also has its very own heart hospital.

Having said that, Heart Hospital has a good reputation according to people I have known who were treated there and according to people I have known to work there.

It's located off of Kaliste Saloom on the South side of the city. It's a very busy road, especially at peak hours so keep that in mind when looking for a place to live. There are plenty of apartments, townhomes, and neighborhoods in the immediate vicinity that would make a commute almost non-existent. If you live close to the hospital it is in a decent school zone for public school and St. Pius elementary is a mile or so away for a private school.

I've dropped patients off there. Never had a problem in the ER or their floor nurses. It's a relatively small hospital.

great place. my grandfather went there a couple times, and my step grandmother was saved a couple times there. technically she died twice due to heart issues and they brought her back.

specialty places like that typically are a lot nicer than the general hospitals.

Had one of those treadmill stress tests there, the nurse who gave me the test was a smoking hot blonde. She had no trouble getting my heart rate ramped up to speed.

Why? Best place for heart trouble in the state. Been going there the last 8 years. Dr Venture is the man there.

Pics of her to determine “level of care”...

Lafayette is a good spot on the Earth (nearly Erath).

Would consider.

I would say very good things

they saved my mom's life with open heart surgery. Good care, tough, but very kind nursing staff. They dont put up with any shite, I liked that.

I know one of the founding MDs and this matches his description. Somewhat curt bedside manners but you will get excellent care.

Part of the fmol health system. Offshoot of Lourdes.

Good company and probably better than any of the for profit hospitals.

They are not for profit as opposed to non profit.
