Before I calibrate my response, I need to know if you're just getting off on trying to start a mini panic or if you're legit frightened.

Maybe he's just someone that doesn't see the need to go out drinking every other night?

We absolutely do. Every bit of data we have so far says that this case of the healthy 45 year old is an anomaly.
And it's absolutely relevant that we don't respond this way to a relatively young person have an ICU case of the flu.

Is he a ginormous fatty like we've decided on the OT?

Google his name and look at his law firm pic. Post it.

From a global perspective, the fatality rates based on age have remained consistent over the past six weeks.

It has a far higher death rate than the typical flu does. So you can add tons more dead than normal up to your "anomaly" list.

Interesting. It’s definitely not responding to normal treatment protocols and some even make this one worse.

Anedoctal stories like this are going to flood the news and social media. People aren't looking for the boring "I was sick for a bit and then I felt ok" stories. They are going to look for the ones like this that shock the shite out of you when you read in
In 2011 my brother-in-law died of swine flu. He was 23 years old. He got married, went on his honeymoon, came home and was dead within 6 weeks. It was the proverbial "shite happens" situation, and I'm sure based on stats the odds of that happening were infinitesimal. Yet it happened. But there were no stories about him, no breathless posts on Facebook or newspaper articles talking about the deadly nature of Swine Flu. He was the one-in-a-million chance, and outside of those who knew him and loved him, it was treated as such.
At some points, the numbers and stats in this country will be known. And if it turns out that youngish/healthy people are in the ICU way more than initially thought, then a lot of people will be proven wrong and we'll have to accept that. But until then, let it play out before deciding that anybody that catches this gets a death sentence

This is the most interesting post in 17 pages. Figured this would be a good thread but it's mostly just arguing.

Bulkshit. Fox is always ready for a good catastrophe. I believe they were the first to call every news break "breaking news" or some foolishness. You've got one guy like Hannity that likes to pump sunshine and you extrapolate that to fit your theory.

I know someone that felt sick after meeting with him and doctor told them to self quarantine. Don't think she got tested but they ain't doing nothing for a few weeks.

The net net of this thread is I hope I’m never in a situation where I am so sick that my wife posts something to try to help others only to be trashed and dragged through the mud on the OT.

fricking A, it was. It may have been the most interesting on this whole board in days. I’d like to think it’s equally telling.
