China of all places would be hiding this if they could, not publicly quarantining cities like New York or Los Angeles. Unprecedented is an accurate description of this with them.

We mostly see people wearing surgical masks. Those are good for avoiding the spread of a virus from an infected person but they’re useless for preventing someone from contracting an infection. They offer a false sense of security.

N 100 masks are recommended for anyone working with infected people. N 95 masks used to be the standard but there are too many viruses small enough to breach them.
