I got flipped off this morning because I gave up on the courtesy honk long ago. I lay on the horn like a jerk if I know they are on the phone.
What's funny to me is people get mad at me like I am the a-hole when in reality they are the a-hole for not paying attention and acting like no one else needs to get through the light.

I had a lady back out of a parking spot and then start texting…I honked, she started moving slowly (still texting), then I laid on the horn and she looks at me through her mirror like wtf….I wish I had the power to revoke licenses on the spot.

I used to be way too understanding in traffic. Now I give them 1 second then I start blasting my horn.
Too many times I was too nice and gave them 3-4 seconds and it cost me a light cycle.

I was in Tuscaloosa and experienced the full on display of the social graces of one Alabama Fan. Sat five seconds, tapped the horn. Guy must have been really proud of his latest IQ score proudly displayed one. It may have been his previous score was zero and this was a shown sign of improvement.
Then thought ....maybe this was his latest sperm count and the previous was zero. On his home to his sister to try again.

If they show no sign of moving as soon as it turns green I honk. I'll get a middle finger or see someone bitch from time to time but frick them. You owe it to the other drivers to be ready as soon as it turns green.

Same here. If their car isn't rolling after that long they're unaware. And if the people in front of me won't honk I'm happy to.

Biggest problem is coming from the side streets with lights. They usually aren’t very long so you need to be ready to make a move for people behind you.
It’s just being aware of other people. Like people parking fricked up or putting their carts in empty parking spots so other people can’t park there.
