re: Having to let people know the light is green

People driving 40 mph and weaving on the interstate while looking at their phone is pretty damn obnoxious/dangerous.

Only thing that pisses me off more than not moving at a green light is the a-hole who creeps through the green light with 4-5 car lengths between then and the next car.

At least the cell phone guy realizes his mistakes and guns it vs the bitch who is still checking her cell phone and riding the break through the green light.

Ok. I agree. It’s still go when it’s green but I’ve always looked both ways to make sure nobody is running the light. Taught my kids that too.

Also no stupid left hand turns across four lanes of traffic.

The worst fricking thing is when you're 4 or 5 in line, the person in the car on front of you is on the damn phone, and you have to honk after giving them a few seconds to get their shitbox going after the cars in front of them have cleared...just for them to run the yellow arrow and leave you stuck on the red.

We've got construction that backs up 5 miles at 5 so those of us who are local get off and take the county road. The problem comes in that the turn into the road is where the above happens at least half the time...putting you a good dozen cars behind where you should be for 7 miles. Those of us who are local and intelligent don't wait for the four way clisterfrick in our village. Basically turn about 3/4 of a mile before it and go the back way hitting a four way stop away from the commercial area.

And to throw in politics... Remember that stimulus sent to local governments that the GOP argued would be a slush fund? Well the fat bastard Governor Fatfrick McJelly Belly of the socialist Republic of Illinois threw that money at roads and debt service that his fricking party let happen. He's running ads touting all the construction work getting done and how the state is now paying its bills on time. The fat frick is even running ads in the GOP primary because he's afraid of a black Republican from the suburbs who will whoop his arse in the general. I did a triple take when I saw those ads while visiting family for Easter.

It’s not even close. Phones are causing exponentially more wrecks and deaths. Drunks are usually on the road during off hours. Idiots on their phones are driving during rush hours on interstates and on surface streets.

I used to be guilty of it. Almost killed myself and the people in front of me that stopped to make a u-turn through the median of I-10. The text I “had to check” wasn’t worth 4 lives.

I don’t even use hands free calling now. If I’m in the car it’s like I’m taking a shite. That’s my time. 30 years ago we weren’t all on call 24/7. I had friends whose parents were doctors and they’d call in with their beepers. But they got paid for that time. We’ve just accepted that we have to jump when they say jump.

Funny story when i was about 16 had an Uncle that i was riding with and we came to a redlight that was red. Pulled up behind a car that was in the left turning lane. My Uncle says," watch this". I guess he saw the driver wasnt paying attention and pumps the horn for a second. Without hesitation the driver in front of us gives it the gas turning left. The Funny part was the light was still red Luckily there was no oncoming traffic.
