In 1978 I won an American made Fender Stratocaster thru a Fender String raffle.
Buy three sets of strings, you registered for the Stratocaster.
Still have it and even though I’m more of an acoustic player I play it regularly.

Won a custom 3-jet crawfish cooker from ESPN Radio in BR. I use it every year.
Only catch is that if you really want to use it to the full capability, you have to buy a regulator that can handle up to 60PSI. 30PSI regulator will work, but it takes a while

Won some reef aquarium equipment at a raffle a few weeks ago. Spent about $30 on tickets, won almost $600 worth of stuff. First time ever!

Won an Amtrak trip to Chicago, hotel and tix to see Aikman cowboys play bears. Unfortunately, Troy was hurt so we got Jason Garrett. Soldier Field and the crazy fans were cool though

Was at WM semifinal game in Westgate back in 2010 and my friend bought a raffle split the pot that night.
We sat on on Westgate's side too; we were from WM.
When they called out the numbers I wasn't paying attention. Friend leaned over and said he had won but he wanted to keep it down as WM was whipping that arse and they knew we were from WM.
We went up to the press box and the announcer said, "So yall from WM huh?" We reluctantly and hesitantly said, "Uh, huh". He them proceeded to say, "So yall whipped our arse and taking our money!" He just handed him a huge was of cash over $400 and I told him that CCP may come in handy.
Two fans we met before ever winning noticed we won and said, "Yall best get on out of here" in a joking manner.
We went to a strip club and ate like kings that night. Made it rain and got laid. Great night all at those poor souls expense.

I didn’t but our neighbors won the St Jude house some years ago. They were really good people probably early 40’s at the time, the wife passed away as they were moving into it
