I went a different route.

The research into the impacts of birth order on future outcomes is fascinating.

Wife and sister couldn't be more different. Her sister is this weird gaming emo chick.

Don't think they've spoken in 5+ years. Don't hate each other, just too different to care.

Both of my daughters. One is 9, the other is 12.

The 12 year old will probably be a brain surgeon, the 9 year old, a diesel mechanic. Ive gotta give it to the 9 year old, shes kept the same vibes since birth.

Yeah and i never understand why it shocks people so much when someone in a family doesn’t turn out to be perfect.

Not everyone was meant to be a doctor, lawyer, engineer. Someone people have to learn the hard way and choose a rough path. Doesn’t make sense sometimes but it happens in plenty of families

I’ve got twins. Born 20 minutes apart, raised in the same house, go to the same school and eat the same diet.

They have completely different personalities. Outside of sharing the same birthday, they are not much alike.

Hell, I can't think of many families I grew up around, whether cousins or just friends that didn't have at least one dumbass or criminal in the making if 3 or more kids were involved.

Like I've posted in the past----------you can raise them right, in the same way, but they are individuals and will do what they want to do eventually, whether it's under the parental roof or when on their own.

My older brother is a nerd. My younger brother and I were athletes.

Very different personalities.

My mom was both nerd and athlete.

Just because siblings have the same parents doesn't mean you were raised the same.

Mom, Dad, both brothers, myself: conservatives

Sister: suburban liberal Karen.

Still don't understand it. She has a gay son in his mid-40's. He's not out but everyone except her knows it. She just continues to say, "he's just picky" despite the fact he's always posting pics of him and his friends who look / act gay and are also mid-40's to early 50's with no wives or kids. Hello? McFly?

Her daughter, my niece, is kinda retarded. Not non-functional, just acts weirdly retarded and common knowledge stupid.

Maybe those have shaped who she in. I don't have a clue.

No single person is ever raised the same, so it shouldn't be shocking that people turn out differently.

She was. Her dad died in a work accident when she was 11, and as the oldest child it fell on her to manage the farm and her siblings, while Grandma worked two shifts to make ends meet.

She was national honor society, and captain of her basketball team in HS. Her taking on of that responsibility enabled her younger sister to become the leading scorer at her university, a record she still holds.

From 11 to 18 she ran the farm and her siblings while her mom had to work two jobs.

My son is an extrovert, my daughter is an introvert, two different personalities. I’m glad my son was the extrovert.

I'm turned out to be a self sufficient human that mede it to the VP position at the company I started working for the day after high school graduation.

My siblings could fill out an entire season of The Jerry Springer Show.

Two sets of twins in high school. One was nice, the other a pos. There must be something to the psyche of twins because two sets and they have the same polar personalities, is more than coincidental.
