I think I would like it, but I have devoted the past few years to trying to hit a good tennis backhand. I still struggle and will not move on to another sport until it's great, which likely means never. As to your fad question, I think it's here to stay and will grow from here. I live on 30A, and we don't have nearly enough courts to accommodate the demand. 10,000 Americans turning 65 every day.

It maybe a passing fad but I started playing with my son at least once a week and we have a great time. People would will be surprised at how much excercise they can get playing singles.

I look at it this way, if Pickleball can get people moving who haven't been moving in awhile then it's a good thing.

One other thing to add. Pickleball is a dumb name.

Pickle ball is for people who can’t play tennis.

I've only seen Gen Z playing it. It's been popular in Austin for 5 or 6 years at least and the courts are full of chubby, pimply faced kids. I figure it's good they get outside and get a little exercise.

Weird it’s popular, they have had permanent courts at the Collegedale park well before I moved to this area. Well over a decade.

Here to stay. For many reasons. Cool sport in it's own right. Plus many people migrating out/aging out of tennis.

No offense to you tennis peeps or ping pong peeps. Damn wiffle ball has me rushing the net because said wiffle ball bounces like a lead balloon.

This is the world I live in now, and never saw it coming.

Pretty big here in KC. Our club has several courts. There are at least three pickle ball venues/restaurant/bars here too. Ive played a few times. Easy to pickup, but don’t be surprised if some old lady in her 70s beats your arse.
