But it felt just like FQ. Sorry, not sure how to express it here. Maybe I had higher expectations. I was told Nashville is great.

I get it - you were expecting better but got same old, same old - which is disappointing

That’s how I feel about Austin - someone told me it was just like the FQ - but it’s not - it’s boring

Oct '21. Stayed with a friend in Kenner. Popped into New Orleans for a show at tipitina's then back to Kenner then home.

At one I spent a weekend a month in New Orleans. Haven’t been back since the tear down the statues thing. If I go back it won’t be for much. Wedding or something I can’t get out off.

Honesty yes and no. I know what NOLA is, it's not all FQ and tourist. I know this board though, so Nola sucks.

Y’all are acting like crime/shadiness in New Orleans is a recent development. We’re you too drunk to notice it back in the mid 90’s? I went back for a convention recently, and didn’t really notice much of a difference (crime/shadiness-wise)besides an increase in homeless people and Yankee transplants.

So because you’ve yet to experience violence in NOLA, All is well?
I understand having a different take, but acting like NOLA is a family destination is fricking stupid. No point in putting your infant in a child safety seat since
You’ve never had one die in a car accident, right?

Ohhh. I'm sorry. I'm a retard. Carry On.

I spent a lot of money to go to many Mardi Gras in the decade prior to covid. I regret nothing since Latoya is trying to destroy it. I am so glad we have all the memories. I am not interested in going back anytime soon since I moved away.

There are FQ buildings that look like they could legitimately fall down at any time.

I love NOLA more than most. But that's aa legit concern. Sometimes the buildings do fall down.

ETA (forgot link): CBS News Article from that building that fell into Royal a few year ago

I attended the National Championship in 2019. I prefer to remember New Orleans that way. Still drive through for work occasionally, but do not plan to go back for recreation... ever, barring significant changes that likely won't happen in my lifetime.

Damn shame, I love that city when it's at it's best.

I spent the last three days there for the first time I. Probably 4 years. The music aspect of New Orleans is mostly bull shite. You walk in places now they just blaring rap music.

City has hobos and undesirables every where on the weekend. Thursday night the town was actually a lot of fun but last night sucked and I headed home early today.

Still a lot of good food in New Orleans.

You must’ve been a real history buff to enjoy the statues so much

Bourbon street was bourbon street and you didn’t go elsewhere to live music venues?
