Have you had a cortisone injection into a joint before?

Went to the doctor today for shoulder pain. He said it's my rotator cuff and gave me a cortisone shot in my shoulder, which he said also included an anesthetic to help with the pain
It hurts like hell now. It's constant pain instead of just when I move it. Is this normal or should I call him tomorrow?

Had 3 in various sections of my spine. Helped a lot.
It's gonna hurt like hell for a few days.
I hear sending out nudes eases the pain.

I've had them in my lower lumbar and besides the small amount of soreness/light bruising around the injection spot I don't remember it hurting any more or any less than before the injections.

It is normal. The injection itself will hurt for a day or two. It will be better soon.

Back in my ball playing days, I had a knee injury during the state championship game, went back into the locker room, got a cortisone shot....rest is his history.

Had one in hip and one in knee. Hurt for 24 hours.

A few in my shoulder and one in my wrist if I remember correctly.
Didn't mind the shot but yea pretty sore but when the soreness is gone it feels amazing.

Thank you! I guess I should be grateful for the "numbing" agent or I probably would be at the er
Saint, frick getting one in my spine. That shot was one of the worst pains I've felt. Well I had an epidural but I was already out of it

Probably just hit a nerve. I used to get one every other week.

I had one in the bursa sack in my hip. It was a little sore afterwards, but not to where it bothered me as much as the joint pain itself. If yours is bothering you that much, I think I'd call tomorrow.
It took almost three weeks for it to work, but it did stop hurting for over a year. It's bothering me again now. I'm trying to make it until January when I have an appointment with my rheumatologist.

I would think by now you would be used to being "injected"

Everyone in the know knows she's just an advanced, lifelike cyborg designed by Kalunda to drive clicks from the pathetic saps that infest this place (present company included).
She doesn't feel real pain.
Hell of a rack on her though.
Could have gone a bit tighter when they designed the bottom.
